In addition to Martha’s answer, there is an association of royal warrant holders which will tell you about it, and let you search a database of stores which have received them. Harrods was stripped of three of its four warrants after its owner accused Prince Philip of the murder of Diana. There was a cigarette company which had a warrant for supplying royal parties but the Queen removed this as she personally disliked smoking. And although they are only supposed to remain for five years after the granter’s death, my hometown still has a jewellers with a warrant from HRH the Duke of Windsor who died in 1972!
